A lot is happening!

Latest updates on what is going on at maxx-solar & energy in Germany and Africa.

Since 2012, maxx-solar & energy has been active on the African Continent, especially in South Africa.

On probably the sunniest continent, we want to be part of the energy transition. What is mostly needed at the moment is to stop climate change and reach the Sustainable Development. The key to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all is knowledge and technology transfer. Currently, a total of 15 employees is working on our African projects and is giving their best to contribute to this goal.

Last week, maxx-solar founder and CEO – Dieter Ortmann- was appointed Honorary Consul of South Africa, responsible for the federal states of Thuringia and Hesse. On the picture you can see on the left side H.E. Ambassador Sizani and Dieter Ortmann.

The maxx-academy, which has also been active since 2012 and in that time has had the privilege of teaching almost 3.000 students (together with the Green Academy Team, which now operates independently), is currently being converted to an online academy.

Our vision is to reach many people in sunny countries, worldwide, with our solar experiences and this online medium. Currently 4 people from South Africa, the Seychelles, Mexico and Germany are working hard on this project. The goal is to bring the new world of 3D Learnspaces to the countries in the global south with a limited access to fast internet.

We are especially proud that the “Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit” (GIZ) who has discovered our project. Since the 1st of August we have started a cooperation and pilot project together. As soon we can give you more information on what it will be about we will post an update on this blog as well. So, stay curious!

Here are some images of the maxx-solar-online-academy and how the future of learning in 3D worlds can and will look like (beta status). We believe in the power of education, exchange and getting together – even more so virtually.

We would be happy if some of our readers feels excited and interested in this project and wants to work on this project with us. Please contact us with your ideas.
